The Contemporary Service is an upbeat, come as you are service that is intended to deliver God's word, but also provide you with some musical celebration at the same time. This service is held every Sunday year round at 8:30am. Come by and check out a service that you probably have never seen before, and will probably never forget.
Celebration Praise Band
The CP Band performs at the Contemporary Service playing upbeat Christian Rock and Easy Listening Music. The songs are not what you will find in a hymnal, but some of the lyrics have been recycled. We try to pick our music from the top 25 (sometimes top 100) Christian Music Singers like Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith, Casting Crowns and Jeremy Camp however, we do write our own music, so you never know what you will hear.
Drama Group
The drama group provides a 3-5 minute skit each Sunday at our contemporary worship service. These dramas are often humorous and relate to the sermon.
The traditional worship is rich in liturgy and the traditions of the church. This worship features our organist, and our senior choir. This service is held every Sunday year round at 10:00 am.
SeniorChoir
We currently have a choir, who sing each Sunday, September through May. During the summer months while the choir is off, several members of the choir perform special music of their own or we have appearances from outside guests.
- Freedom of thought and personal responsibility of faith. (No creed on chruch dogma) Everyone's opinion is valued and charished.
- Welcoming and accepting of all people into worship (regardless of religion, heritage, past experience, age, race or ethnic background.
- Communion open to all believes (served once a month).
- Each congregation is free to govern themselves, select thier own pastor and organize their work as they see fit.
- One's faith must be matched with everyday actions and decicions. We must welcome the stranger, feed the hungery, cloth the naked, work for justice, and oppose evil.
- Active faith requires disciplined study and education. So we value: Sunday School for all ages, Confirmation studies, church Sermon Camp and the support of our Colleges and Seminaries.
